About ChildVoice International
ChildVoice International is a Christian, nonprofit humanitarian organization whose mission is to assist child victims of war around the world through advocacy, research, and effective demonstration projects. We work with local on-the-ground NGOs in war-torn countries and assist them to improve outcomes for children of war - responding to short-term needs including sanctuary, education, and psychosocial and spiritual development, as well as long-term needs including vocational training and microfinance programs.
ChildVoice International was founded in 2006 in response to the ongoing plight of children impacted by the twenty-year civil war in northern Uganda. Child victims of war in this region - including abducted children, children newly escaped from captivity, former child soldiers, and those orphaned or left destitute by rebel activity - are caught in the spiral of poverty and lack hope for the future. Working with Ugandan leaders, the principals of ChildVoice International are creating an organization that aims to facilitate an organized, long-term response to this crisis and create best practices for other regions around the world ravaged by war.
